VS Throttle Body Memcal

VT Throttle Body Memcal

VX Throttle Body Memcal

VY Throttle Body Memcal

Bored out throttle body to suit a VS-VY V6 and supercharged V6. It's a very cost effective way to bump up the performance of your late model Commodore, increasing airflow by 14%.

Manufactured by a renowned engineering company you can be assured of the outstanding quality and workmanship of these remanufactured throttle bodies. The photo does NOT do these throttle bodies justice!

This mod is an excellent cost effective way to bump up horsepower from your late model Commodore, as shown on the before and after dyno graphs. In this case, a VY manual with extractors/exhaust and chip and made 161.2 HP at the rear wheels.

But after changing leads, spark plugs and installing our larger throttle body, power jumped to 176.9 HP at the rear wheels!

Backed up by other testing gains of around 10 HP at the rear wheels are to be had if used in conjunction with extractors/exhaust and cold air intake. A greater power gain can be achieved if more mods have been undertaken such as a larger cam, supercharger etc

On top of this power increase, it will also make your Commodore sound meaner (i.e. more air rushing into the engine = meaner sound) and offer a much better throttle response!

Please note that our throttle bodies use a brand new, 69mm brass butterfly, unlike some who mislead people into thinking that they are selling a larger throttle body which is only a cleaned up version of the factory item still using the original butterfly!

People please ask for photographic proof that the butterfly diameter (not the initial throttle body opening as its not the main restriction in the first place!!!) is what they claim it is to be, as I've seen far too many people ripped off. On another note we don't manufacture these throttle bodies in 70mm, as we feel that they are unsafe long term as the wall thickness is too thin and may fail over time.

These throttle bodies have been fitted to a number of cars including David Wilzigs ITT.38L which is the FASTEST V6 IN AUSTRALIA, pulling 9.981 seconds @ 137.88MPH down the quarter and making 750HP! So these products have been well proven to work even on the most extreme cars!

Please Note:

These throttle bodies are not polished.

A tune is recommended for this setup; we can provide a re- calibrated PCM or Memcal to suit.

Koenigsegg's craziest supercar yet debuts at Geneva

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Here's what you need to know about the Koenigsegg One:1. It weighs 1,360 kilograms; it produces 1,360 hp. One horsepower per kilogram, which is why mad scientist Christian Von Koenigsegg is absolutely justified in bragging about it: it's the world's first "mega car," he said.

Vauxhall Insignia facelift revealed for 2014

Wed, 12 Jun 2013

The Vauxhall Insignia gets a facelift for 2014 with new engines and lower prices The Vauxhall Insignia is a more than decent car – and a big improvement on the Vectra that went before – but it’s now almost five years old so it’s time for a bit of a facelift. Vauxhall has revealed the updated Insignia for 2014 that gets a decent raft of changes, both cosmetically and under the skin, to make it better to live with and more economical. Sensibly, Vauxhall has cut the bewildering range of Insignia trim levels from 14 to eight (do they need even that many?), with Design Trim at the bottom and Elite trim at the top, and the new Insignia Design starting at £16,279 – £3500 less than the old Insignia ES.

Honda NSX Concept GT takes on Suzuka

Mon, 03 Mar 2014

Honda hinted at the second coming of the NSX sports car in 2011, before bringing a concept to the Detroit auto show in January of 2012. Not more than two months later, the company said it will also go racing with the hybrid all-wheel-drive supercar. This has finally come to pass: On Monday, Honda uploaded a video to its Japanese YouTube channel, showing the Honda NSX Concept-GT -- the racing version -- in action at the Suzuka Circuit.
